Community Service - Hurricane Katrina Relief via Interfaith Hospitality Network - Sept'05

Activity:             Interfaith Hospitality Network

Description:       Collection and distribution of food and shelter to homeless families.

Commitment:     Respond to special requests as needed.

Misc:                 Events as requested through the Board.

Activity:             Donate funds and personnel to assist with IHN special projects, like Hurricane
                           Katrina relief.

Description:       Donated funds, equipment to pack and haul food, clothing and school supplies to Lafayette, LA.

Commitment:     Several days packing and three days of driving to LA.

Results:              The Director of IHN Lafayette was very thankful of our prompt response and
                            delivery of well marked boxes of supplies.


The Interfaith Hospitality Network of greater Rochester (Minnesota) is a network of volunteers from 39 churches who offer food and shelter to families who find themselves homeless.

Even the truck bed and rear seats were filled with supplies.  Dick closes the tail gate.  He and Larry are ready to roll!
